How we choose breeding pigs
BF Farm has been raising Kunekunes since 2011 — 15 years. We plan pairings around pedigree, genetic diversity, health, structure, temperament, parents, breed quality, and what each pig is best suited for.
COI helps us manage pedigree relatedness and protect genetic diversity, so we seek the lowest COI we can responsibly achieve. That is one part of responsible breeding; our genetic-soundness guarantee is a separate promise that backs the pigs we sell.
