Why this pig is here

The story behind Kordell.

Kordell is one of those animals that makes the idea of a herd family tree feel very real. He is registered as KKP Whakanui 14, but around here he is simply Kordell. His daughter Kayla is part of the current breeding herd, so his place at BF Farm is not just a name printed in a pedigree. I can look at father and daughter as two living pieces of the same story. The older AKKPS litter notifications add still more context, giving Kordell more than one documented litter to look back on rather than a single snapshot in time.
