The story behind Kamaka.

Kamaka is registered as SMK Mahia Love 3, but the name I use is Kamaka, and that is the name you will see throughout this herd story. He is one of the younger boars in the current group, yet the records already connect him to multiple litters and more than one sow across different seasons. That gives his profile a nice sense of motion: he is not simply a promising pedigree on paper anymore. There is already a growing trail behind him that I can keep watching as later generations develop.

A family tree with real pigs behind the names.

The recorded pedigree currently available at BF Farm traces through sire RSVP Mahia Love 45 and dam SMK Momona 7. I keep these relationships visible because a pedigree is more useful when I can connect the names on paper to animals and generations I have actually managed.

What the current BF Farm records document.

The records currently loaded for Kamaka document 4 litters, with 4 tied to an AKKPS litter-notification ID and 19 piglets recorded across those litters (14 recorded born alive in the BF Farm litter records that include that detail). The count includes 1 older AKKPS notification from the historical sample currently added to the herd archive. I treat this as a documented minimum, not a lifetime total, until the older litter-notification archive is complete.

These counts combine current BF Farm litter records with the historical AKKPS notifications added to this herd archive so far. They are a documented minimum, not a lifetime total, until the older notification history is complete.

Current BF Farm litter records and older AKKPS notifications are shown separately so the archive stays transparent about what is known.
