Kereopa / Andrew
Pedigree
Breeding lines
Andrew / Kereopa combines two established UK-imported lines in the American Kunekune population. The Andrew boar line entered the United States in 2005 and traces back to Mahia Love. The Kereopa sow line arrived in 2012; AKKPS breed history notes the line for small-framed, short, squat pigs. For breeders, this pairing offers a documented pedigree background to consider alongside COI, health, structure, temperament, breed quality, and breeding purpose.
Why BF Farm
BF Farm plans each pairing with genetic diversity in mind, then also evaluates health, structure, temperament, pedigree, parents, breed quality, and purpose.
Pairing COI: 3.32% — shown here so buyers evaluating this pig for breeding can see the pairing information directly.
COI and genetic soundness are not the same claim. COI is one way we manage pedigree relatedness and protect genetic diversity. Genetic soundness is broader, and every BF Farm pig we sell is backed by our separate genetic-soundness guarantee.
Why it matters: Excessive relatedness can affect fertility, litter strength, health, vigor, and future breeding options.
Our promise
Thoughtful pairings are only part of the picture. We also evaluate health, structure, temperament, pedigree, parents, breed quality, and purpose, then stand behind the genetic soundness of the pigs we sell.
